Lindsey Bull
Minor Attractions
14 - 18 October, 2025
William Hine is pleased to present new and recent work by Lindsey Bull for its inaugural participation in Minor Attractions Art Fair, on view at The Mandrake Hotel, Fitzrovia from 14-18 October, with a VIP Preview on Tuesday 13th October.
Lindsey Bull’s paintings explore psychological states through the depiction of enigmatic figures caught between concealment and revelation. Her latest series introduces motifs of veiling and hidden gazes, deepening her ongoing investigation into identity, power, and the unseen. These new paintings make use of costume, poses and blindfolds highlighting obscured faces to evoke a dreamlike tension—suggesting protection, submission, or secrecy. Bull’s brushwork remains expressive yet restrained, allowing ambiguity to thrive in both gesture and palette. The figures, though hidden, seem hyper-aware, inviting viewers to question what lies beneath the surface. Through these veiled forms, Bull constructs a potent visual language of vulnerability and resistance.
